bodywork?

Bodywork refers to a variety of hands-on techniques designed to relieve pain, reduce tension, and support your body’s natural healing response.

Bodywork may include a combination of gentle manual therapy, myofascial release, cupping, or lymphatic drainage, each chosen specifically for what your body needs that day.

These sessions promote better circulation, reduce stiffness, and calm your nervous system, helping you move and feel better long after you leave the table.

“Erin was amazing to work with! She took time to listen to past and current injuries to ensure we didn’t cause aggravation during our session. She kept giving me cues and feedback during the whole session and checking to make sure I wasn’t having pain in my problem areas. I highly recommend Erin. Frequently Asked Questions

What does bodywork do?

Bodywork is a broad term for therapeutic treatments to the body that can release tension in the muscles, improve fascial mobility, increases circulation, and even helps regulate your nervous system for improved overall wellness.

Does every session include bodywork?

It depends on the person and the session. Each session is customized. Bodywork may include manual therapy, Astym, gua she, myofascial release, cupping, or lymphatic drainage, based on what your body needs most that day.

Who can benefit from bodywork?

Anyone dealing with pain, tightness, fatigue, or stress-related tension can benefit. It’s also ideal for women looking to support wellness, recovery, and mind-body connection.

Is bodywork the same as massage?

Bodywork is a broad term that encompasses many therapeutic techniques that are applied to the body. This can include massage and other manual therapies, as well as tool-assisted care such as Astym, gua sha, cupping, and dry needling.

How often should I get bodywork?

It really depends on the type of bodywork and the therapeutic intent behind its application. For treatments aimed at stimulating improved healing response and tissue turnover, we often want several days between treatments. However, for those with relaxation goals or who are working on chronic tension, bodywork could be performed more frequently.
