Good Faith Estimates

As part of the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what your care will cost.

If you don’t have insurance or choose not to use insurance, health care providers are required to give you an estimate of the total expected cost for non-emergency services. This may include the cost of appointments, tests, medications, equipment, or facility fees.

You can request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling any service, and your provider must give it to you in writing at least one business day in advance. Be sure to keep a copy for your records.

If you receive a bill that is $400 or more above the estimate, you have the right to dispute it.
